Client:

Our client, a dynamic architecture and design firm based in Long Island City , is known for blending innovation with functionality to deliver impactful environments. Their diverse portfolio spans hospitality, retail, nightlife, restaurants, educational facilities, and large-scale mixed-use projects , many of which have been featured in national media. Current work includes hotel new builds and renovations, restaurants, casinos, multifamily residential, senior living, and multiple food-focused projects for a leading global tech company.

Description:

Our client is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join their collaborative team. The ideal candidate will assist in all phases of the design process, with a focus on hospitality and hotel projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to concept development, FF&E selection, documentation, and coordination with consultants and vendors.

Candidates should be creative, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, design-driven studio environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior designers in the development of design concepts and presentations.
  • Assist with FF&E sourcing, selections, and documentation.
  • Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and sample boards.
  • Contribute to the development of drawing sets and specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, reps, and consultants.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed.

Required:

  • 1–3 years of professional interior design experience (hospitality project experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , SketchUp , and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong eye for design, materials, and finishes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program required.

Salary / Hourly:

60-72k
