Job description:

  • We are seeking a hands-on Senior MERN Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications.
  • The ideal candidate has deep experience with the MERN stack, strong fundamentals in JavaScript, cloud-native development on AWS, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality, frictionless client experiences.
  • This role requires close collaboration with product and engineering teams and occasional on-site client interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, well-tested frontend and backend applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
  • Serve as a technical reference for frontend and backend development best practices
  • Write and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with enterprise backend systems
  • Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions and leverage AWS services to support scalable, serverless architectures
  • Follow best practices across SDLC, unit testing, performance tuning (code and database), and secure coding
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards
  • Work independently to deliver optimal client experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8 years of relevant client experience in similar technologies (excluding training period)
  • 4+ years of recent, hands-on professional development experience with the MERN stack

Strong expertise in:

  • React.js (some familiarity is good, strong is not required)
  • Node.js
  • MongoDB
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Proven experience building applications that interface with enterprise systems via RESTful APIs
  • Experience with unit testing libraries, API testing tools, and Git-based version control
  • Solid understanding of Agile / iterative development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code
  • Cloud & DevOps (Required / Preferred)

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar
  • Performance tuning at both application and database levels

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Master’s degree preferred
